Sweet Home Alabama

I've been up to a couple things since I've been home...

Girls trip to the beach to celebrate my birthday :)

I was able to watch Sam play in her last tournament of the season!

She's AMAZING!

AND we hosted the end of the season banquet for the Varsity girls team

This weekend we are hosting the tennis team for a fun weekend at the LAKE!

and I am going to the Crawfish Boil to see Rocket Summer, Jason Derulo, Jay Sean, the B-52's, Train, and the Goo Goo Dolls!

Its an odd concept, home. Because mine doesn't feel like it as much anymore.

Its just different. Or should I say I'M different.

Less than 24 hours I've been home and already I want to be back. I miss the sunshine. I miss my new family. I miss my own space, small as it was, it was mine. Being back in Alabama, I feel as if I'm renting out a space in my sister's room. My stuff doesn't have a place anymore. I don't have a place anymore.

On the upside, I have 2 really great job offers already this summer. In the past 24 hours I've interviewed and both have sung my praises and want me really bad. I guess that's good.

I know I have been MIA for the past week, but for good reason.

I have been spending my last days of life in paradise in Waikiki with some of the best friends in the world

Today, I leave this chapter of my life and head home.

I've held back the tears.

This is going to be really hard.

in conclusion

I've come to the conclusion 

that it is not about the activities you do 

but the people you do them with...

The list will still remain on my wall

but I am not so concerned

with chiseling away at the things to do

more will get done

and I will cross them out as I go

but i'm not concerned

with getting it all done

I am going to enjoy the company

of my friends

while they are still here

live in the moment

(a controlled moment, yes)

but a moment nonetheless :)

General Conference

General Conference has been a completely different experience for me this year than it has been in the past. I not only focussed on staying awake, but I focussed on what was being said.  LIFE CHANGING. I love conference!  It is true what they say about the talks being directed to you personally.  The speakers today were phenomenal.

These were my personal favorites of the Saturday morning session, perhaps because they were directed more towards the women...  

I cannot wait to get up bright and early tomorrow morning to watch the Sunday Morning Session live!!

its just walking

so I have been told twice today that I have a good walk....

Friend #1 said they saw me walking and thought, "she's got a good walk."They followed through by pointing out other people's walks and why they were not so "perfect"

later tonight..
Friend #2 tried to copy my "walk"... unsuccessful, they began trying to pick out what made my "walk" so special...

apparently I've "got it goin' on".... haha...
