second day of class.
not too terrible.
I wont be pulling my hair out.
1st in the class is possible.
perhaps not in COMP PROGRAMMING...
there are some pretty good programmers.
and I'm a newbie.
but i'll see to it that I have a solid A.
PHYSICS, not bad.
I've already had 2 years of it.
I think I can handle another.
THEATRE, FUN.
My play is going to be the bomb dot com
I'm thinking of taking inspiration from Dan in Real Life...
real life situations,
not overblown drama or comedy
real.
so real that its funny.
not overdone.
but thats just the beginning of a thought process.
we'll see where it goes.
MATH, I've got this.
It will get tough later on
but no worries.
I'll be good to go.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING.
I have it on Thursday.
I'm excited.
Its going to be a blast
I think I might be the only girl
but bring it on.
in the library studying
devotional in 20 mins
its a good day

second grade
I remember one day in second grade, as we were watching the space shuttle launch,
my friend Tom (thats what we will call him)
and I had a contest to see who could hold their breath the longest.
Tom thought I was magical because I held my breath for over an hour.
or so he thought ;)
I was just breathing in and out of my nose
and keeping my mouth shut.
hehehe
I loved those days.
can't I go back?

13 days
Until class starts!
my recipe for the fall:
a smidgen of Physics
one EE seminar to add a little zest
a 300 level Math
a spritz of Computer Programming
and a Theatre class to pull it all together
1. Work hard and stay ahead 2. School before socializing 3. Remember goals for the year 4. Attend all classes and devotionals 5. Attend all church meetings and as many activities as possible 6. Read scriptures and say prayers daily 7. Never forget who made this all possible.
Hopefully this is a recipe for success.
A recipe for a well-rounded, spiritually-growing, confident but humble Electrical Engineer.
Prep work has already begun, so hopefully,
when it comes time to go in the oven,
I don't get burned to a crisp.

The Kite Runner
Bravo to Hosseini, a truly remarkable book. I can't possibly put to words the power this book has, so I have left it to the critics; their words are more descriptively perfect than my own.
"This is one of those unforgettable stories that stays with you for years. All the great themes of literature and of life are the fabric of this extraordinary novel:love, honor, guilt, fear, redemption." -Isabel Allende
"Powerful...Haunting." -The New York Times Book Review
"A powerful book...no frills, no nonsense, just hard, spare prose...an intimate account of family and friendship, betrayal and salvation that requires no atlas or translation to engage and enlighten us. Parts of The Kite Runner are raw and excruciating to read, yet the book in its entirety is lovingly written." -The Washington Post Book World
"A moving portrait of modern Afghanistan" -Entertainment Weekly
"Riveting...Unforgettable." -Newsday
"Moving and Unexpected." -The Denver Post
"Extraordinary." -People
A must read.

We
we are all so alike.
thats why we disagree so much.
we are strong willed.
we want to prove our points.
as much as we disagree,
we do love each other.
very much.
and I am so grateful
we get to spend eternity together :)
