I can't wait to...

Yep,
I know there is empty space.
What should I fill it up with?

ReBlog {Holi Festival}

So, I'm re-blogging a video that a friend shared.
But I think it's awesome.
And I was there too :)

an {un}eventful weekend

This weekend was

well

I don't really know what to call it....

An {un}eventful weekend?

To start off,
the tickets didn't arrive on time,
so we had to find tickets for Saturday.

The Saturday PM session was great.
Had to find Grant,
and then a ticket for Grant,
but no big.

After conference, Kelly and I went to meet some friends at Crown Burger.
We decided to stop at the car beforehand to change shoes.
Big mistake.
We spent a good while walking around the parking garage trying to find the car.
Finally go to Crown Burger,
I have never seen so many suited men in my life.
100 + people in line.
Not worth the wait.
We say hello, then goodbye and head off to check in to the hotel.

After bringing our stuff up to our room,
Kelly and I decide to go to Gateway to get food.
We are starving.
I get a call from Kaitlin.
We'll pick her up first, then go.
BUT THEN
I get a call from Grant.
He can't find his car.
Conference ended 1.5 hours previous.
He'd been looking the whole time.

So we go find Grant.
Then pick up Kaitlin.
Then drive around SLC for a good 20 minutes looking for Grant's parking garage.
We finally find it.
He parked on the 8th floor.
We slowly but surely make it up there.
We drive up to the top of the PG b/c that's the direction it took us.
Turns out we had to drive all the way back down to get to the spiral ramp out.

We finally get out,
drive to Gateway.
The PG is under construction.
So we try to find another one close.
It closes at 7 (it was 6:45 already)
we make an 8-point turn in order to turn around on the ramp into the PG
"Lets just park at the hotel. It's only 2 blocks farther"

Park at the hotel PG.
oh btw,
lost Grant in the hotel PG
don't know how that happened.
15 minutes later,
he finds the elevator up to the lobby.
Let's go.

Start to walk to Gateway.
after ab 30 minutes of walking,
we get turned around by a construction manager.
"You can't get there this way, it's closed for construction"
He offered an obscure alternate route.
We decided to pass.

By now it is 8:00, Kelly Grant and I had eaten nothing more than an oatmeal raisin cookie that day
we were starved, tired, and frustrated beyond belief.
I think I may have screamed at one point.

We decide to head back to the hotel and eat something along the way.
At that point, anything would have tasted delicious.
Barbacoa - mix between a Moe's and Chipotle...
Decent food.
Kelly misses a step and spills her drink.

We exit the restaurant,
TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR.
We walk a huge circle around the hotel before finding it.
Why can't SLC be a little bit easier to navigate?

Finally.
Hotel.
Grant heads home.
Kaitlin Kelly and I head to the hot tub.
MUCH needed relaxation.

Ran into friends.
Then we made this.

Today,
CONFERENCE WAS AMAZING.
I'll do a separate post on it later.
Grant drove up again with our tickets to attend the Sunday AM session,
THANK YOU!
PS: we had amazing seats :)
I guess I would have to say the weekend was worth it,
all of yesterday's mess was to test us and prepare us for the messages today.

What do you say?
