The Magical Apron

There once was a girl.
Her mother didn't know how to use measuring devices,
so cooking was a guessing game.
This girl didn't practice cooking often,
for her days were full of music and reading.

The girl grew up and she went off to school in a far away land.
In this land, her meals were prepared for her,
and she grew used to no work, but all reward.

One year later, the girl moved to a different far away land,
a land drastically different from anywhere she'd been before.
The girl had to cook and clean all for herself!
The cleaning was not hard, for she was a meticulous little girl
and had learned to keep things organized.
Cooking was a different story.
The girl did not know how to properly shop for groceries,
and she lacked the basic ingredients to make delicious foods.

With no time to prepare, and little resources, the girl took the easy route.
Frozen food.
She tried everything!
from Smart Ones, to Michelina's.  Lean Cuisine, Bertolli, and even PF Changs.
The Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers she liked the most,
but even they could not satisfy her desire for real delicacies.

One holiday season, the girl returned home to visit her family.
With her, she brought gifts.
For her mother, a new apron!
The girl had brought a matching apron for herself,
with the promise that she would cook two meals for the family over the break.

The girl went right to work preparing meals.
In doing so, she discovered something amazing.
The apron was magic!
Every time the girl put on the apron, she felt empowered to cook!
Trips to the grocery store were productive,
the oven worked properly,
and everything turned out delicious the first time!

She became a cooking machine.
Chicken fettuccine, omelette's, delicious salads!
Pasta, hand breaded Parmesan chicken, and her grandmother's famous blintzes!

She fell in love with cooking,
and all has been well in the Kingdom ever since : )
